of the old barques and sailing ships that moor up in the dock.
Sit out side
for for a drink .Spend the day on the cobbled beach , perhaps take to
the cliff paths to Porthpean west,
or Carlyon Bay east.
Charlestown
is one of those places that the TV and Film industry often go to on
location and has been featured many times on TV .'The Onedin Line' and
'Poldark' are but two such .
The
only city in Cornwall.More like a large market town really with cobbled
streets with the benefits of a small city. A trip down the river Fal
to Falmouth can be a worthwhile trip. Visit Cornwall's main museum,
walk around the cathedral ,walk along the river at Malpas these are
but a few of the attractions for the visitor.
One
of the worlds best known deep sea harbours. called the Carrick Roads
this is the third largest natural harbour in the world.Visit
Pendennis castle, grounds and museum.Catch
the ferry to St. Mawes to look at the fort and harbour village or
hire your own boat to nose around the bay.
Best
known for the " Furry Dance "held in early may, and R.N.A.F
Culdrose just up the road.
Handy as
a starting place to visit most of West Cornwall's attractions .i.e.
:
,Earth Station
Goonhilly a must see for science and communications history
Gweek seal
sanctuary, A rescue center for the local sea mammals. Flambards
one of the areas biggest attractions made up of rides and a aircraft

Newlyn

Very
pretty working fishing ports. The best time to visit these is at Christmas
when they really go to town on the lights in the harbours, and on the
boats even the locals travel down to see them for a good night out.
Lands
End
What's
to say great views fantastic walks and the facilities in the complex
are well worth taking advantage of especially the land of legends .Sennen
Cove is just a short walk from Lands
End .Also in the area is The Minack
Theater which puts on open air shows Classical and modern throughout
the summer season.
Coastal
walks
Some
of the best coastal walks , view's and beaches are to be found on the
north coast of Cornwall from Hayle to Bude plus many small harbours
,towns and attractions
Rather
be alone to walk and contemplate then visit the less known sites .Dozmary
pool on Bodmin moor just down the road from Jamaica Inn is said to be
bottomless ,and is part of the folklore story of Jan Tregeagle. Then
a few miles away near Minions the rocks of the Cheese Ring teeter over
the moor. King Donerts stone ,Golitha falls,Siblyback resovour and some
of the most accessible parts of the moors are all within a few miles
of Liskeard town.

to Black Head only a few miles around the bay giving spectacular views
all the way.Just
about any of the coastal towns and villages can be walked to in this
